Small Groups
The Brandermill Church offers a variety of small groups related to specific ministries (music, prayer, knitting, Bible Study, etc.) Also, at least twice a year, we hold a congregation-wide small group ministry using approved curriculum. Check out the monthly calendar for more information on gatherings of these groups.

Description: Two adult classes are offered each Sunday Morning. The Current Events class will continue to meet in the MPR Classroom, using The Wired Word curriculum, facilitated by various disciples of the class. Our second class will be taught by our two pastors on What Do Methodists and Presbyterians Believe and What Makes the Two Denominations Distinctive.

Description: This class meets in the Sanctuary and is taught by certified instructor, Pam Human. Cost (if paid by month) is $5/class, or $6/class if paid per class. Checks made payable to Pam Human. Bring your own mat.

What? Casual Dining for groups of 8 or 9 – singles and couples
When? Four times a year (Oct./Nov. Dec./Jan. Feb./Mar. Apr./May)
How? 1. Dine In – Host prepares main course. Others prepare side dishes.
2. Dine Out – Host makes the reservation.
Why? Get to know other church members in a relaxed setting

Description: The John Petty Memorial Bible Study meets each Wednesday morning from 8-9 AM to increase Bible knowledge. The group meets in a relaxed, friendly environment with rotational facilitation.
JOIN US as we begin a 12-session series exploring 1 & 2 Samuel.

Description: Remember the days of road atlases and maps to chart your directions? Now it’s GPS, Waze and Google Maps. With God, mapping is as simple as daily prayer! Join us in prayer Monday mornings at 9:30 AM in the Sanctuary. MAP (formerly Centering Prayer) is a time for blessings, prayers concerns and quiet time listening to God. A great way to chart your direction for the remainder of the week!

Description: Semi-Circle is so named because we think of ourselves as half fun/fellowship and half service. The group meets on the third Monday night of each month in a disciple’s home and has a book study or devotional, a short business meeting, a program and refreshments. Membership includes women of varied ages and those of other churches as well. All collected monies are donated to missions. Circle also supports Caritas, Hillside Court, and blood drives. We enjoy our gatherings each month and pride ourselves on a strong connection that fosters love and support for each other. For more information contact Rin Barkdull or Nancy Ryder.

Description: Growing in our faith is not only about exploring our beliefs. It is also learning how to encounter God through prayer, Scripture reading, worship, service and in examining our lives and world.
